Crock Pot Choucroute Recipe

| Ingredients | | | 4 | cup | cabbage, green, shredded | | | 1 | each | carrot, peeled, shredded | | | 1 | each | sauerkraut, (16 oz), drained, rinsed well | | | 3/4 | cup | apple cider | | | 2 | tablespoon | brown sugar | | | 3/4 | teaspoon | caraway seeds | | | 1/2 | teaspoon | allspice, ground | | | 5 | each | canadian bacon, slices, cut in strips | | | 1/2 | pound | turkey kielbasa, in 6 pieces | | | 1 | pound | potatoes, red, small, new, quartered | | | | | | Directions:
| Stir together the cabbage, carrot, sauerkraut, cider, sugar, caraway, and allspice in slow cooker. Bury the canadian bacon in the sauerkraut, pressing down to compact. Top with kielbasa & potatoes. Cover & cook on low for 7 hours, until potatoes are tender.
