Apple Coffeecake Recipe

| 1/2 c Brown sugar 2 tb Flour 2 tb Margerine 1 ts Cinnamon 1/2 c Sugar 1/4 c Shortening 1 Egg 1/2 c Milk 1 1/2 c Unsifted flour 2 ts Baking powder 1/2 ts Salt 2 c Thinly sliced apples Blend brown sugar, *2* tbs flour, margerine and cinnamon in bowl,set aside. Combine sugar,shortening and egg beating throughly. Stir in milk. Mix 1 1/2 c flour,baking powder and salt. stir into egg mixture just until smooth. Spread 1/2 the batter in a greased 9 in square pan. Cover with 1/2 the apples; top with 1/2 of the brown sugar mixture. Repeat layers. Bake at 375 for 45-50 min. -----
